The Value of Being a Communications and Technology Broker

As a core part of my consulting and sales function here at nology, I work with companies small, medium, and large, helping them to explore and leverage new technology. One of the areas I help companies with is understanding how new communications technology can help their business run more efficiently, reduce costs, and increate their responsiveness to their clients.

In order to meet the requirements of my clients, nology has joined the Core Tech Broker community. This community gives me the tools, support, and access to communications and internet products I need to satisfy my clients. 

As a broker helping dozens of companies a few projects stick out:

I remember helping a rapidly expanding chain of medical clinics that was having severe growing pains with their communications and technology. They had grown to 8 locations in less than a year and could not communicate to staff in the remote locations easily or effectively and their appointments call center could not manage the inbound call volume from a new marketing campaign. In addition, they were concerned about the transmittal of sensitive electronic medical records between clinics and had no idea where to start. I helped them cut through the confusion and explore many unique solutions to enable them to easily and effectively deliver a hosed VoIP and private network solutions that allowed communications to be seamless across all locations and all their private data to be secure and HIPAA complaint. It was a challenging and fun project.

In another instance, a company in the compliance and audit field wanted to cut costs by eliminating their high office overhead. They wanted to leverage technology to build a complexly mobile work force but still needed employees to be in constant contact and be accountable. Deploying a custom VoIP phone system we were able to allow each remote employee to have an extension, be part of the corporate system to transfer calls and manage call flow while at the same time allowing management to monitor activity and ensure the employees are actively working. The system can be changed on the fly as their company changes how and where they do business.
